BROWS

The criteria listed below may prevent you from undergoing permanent makeup procedures at this time. In some cases, a doctor's recommendation may be required.

    ● Visible skin conditions (in treatment area) ex: eczema, psoriasis, moles, etc.

    ● Currently using Retin A/Glycolic Acid (within 2 weeks prior to appointment)

    ● Chemical or Laser Peel (within 6 weeks prior to appointment)

    ● AHA Products (within 2 weeks prior to appointment)

    ● Botox/Filler (within 3 weeks prior to appointment)

    ● Hypertrophic or Keloid Scarring

    ● Autoimmune Disease (doctor’s note required)

    ● Are taking blood thinning medications (doctor’s note required to stop medication)

    ● Are currently undergoing treatment for cancer

    ● Chemotherapy or Radiation treatment within last 12 months (doctor’s note required)

    ● All clients must be at least 18 years old (no exceptions)

  • 2-6 WEEKS BEFORE:

    ● No retinoid products in the brow area 2 weeks prior.

    ● No vitamin A 2 weeks prior.

    ● No Tanning or intense Sun Exposure 2 weeks prior.

    ● Botox/Dysport must be done at least 3 weeks prior to your appointment/touchup appointment so it has time to settle.

    ● No chemical peels or laser treatments around the brow area 4-6 weeks prior.

    ● No brow/lash serums in the brow area 4-6 weeks prior.

    ● I recommend coming to your appointment with your brows grown out, no need to have them cleaned up before! I want to see how they grow naturally, and will clean them up for you. If you need to clean them up beforehand, please do so at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

    7 DAYS BEFORE:

    ● No tinting, waxing or electrolysis.

    ● No vitamin E or fish oil supplements.

    ● No blood thinning medications such as Ibuprofen and Advil. They should be avoided unless prescribed by a doctor.

    24 HOURS BEFORE:

This is necessary to minimize bleeding during the procedure

    ● No alcohol.

    ● No caffeine.

    ● No excessive sweating or working out.

    DAY OF APPOINTMENT:

    ● Avoid heavy exercise and caffeine. Exercising and caffeine increases blood flow and will cause excessive bleeding, leading to poor healed results. Drink plenty of water!

    ● You are welcome to come to your appointment with or without makeup on. We will be taking photos, so come however you are most comfortable. If you regularly fill in your brows, coming with at least your brows filled in helps me to see how you normally style your brows.

    ● You will be sent home with after-care instructions for the brow service. Brows take 10-14 days to completely heal. You must avoid sun, sweat, water, makeup, & skin care products, so please plan accordingly.

  • ●Within 1-2 hours post appointment, wash your brows with the small bottle of Candy Cleanse and apply a thin layer of provided Balm/Lotion.

    ● First, wash your hands!

    ● Next, dispense 1-2 pumps of foaming cleanser onto clean fingers and gently wash in the direction of hair growth. Its a light swipe, just to help remove excess oil, oozing, etc. NO circles or scrubbing!

    ● Rinse thoroughly. Cup hands with water and rinse to make sure all soap is removed (do this at the sink, not in the shower).

    ● Pat dry with clean paper towel, not a hand/body towel (to avoid bacteria).

    ● Apply a TINY amount of balm/lotion to each brow with a clean finger (1/2 rice grain size per brow).

    ● Wash morning and night for 10 days. Once brows have flaked, you stop with the aftercare routine.

    ● Apply balm morning and night for 10 days. You should have enough left over for the touch up if you're using it correctly.

    ● No getting them wet other than washing them OUTSIDE of the shower for 10 full days. This includes shower, sweating, sauna, hot tub, ocean, pool, etc. Use provided shower shields in the shower to keep brows dry.

    ● No direct sunlight for 2 weeks, this includes tanning beds. Once fully healed always wear SPF on your brows!

    ● No makeup, lotion, face wash, serums, shampoo/conditioner, etc. can touch brows for 10 full days. After that, avoid all products on them that include active ingredients (acne, exfoliating, or anti-aging products).

    ● Always let your skin care professional know that you have your brows done so they do not put any chemical peel/laser type treatments on your brows. That can cause premature fading/discoloration.

    ● No picking or scratching at scabs! Try not to sleep on your face, and if you do, change your pillow case so we eliminate excess bacteria.

    ● Any swelling, redness, or bruising, if any, should subside within the first 24 hours.

    ● Do not touch the treated area unless it is for cleansing purposes.

    ● In the next 30 days of your appointment avoid sunbathing, solarium, light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasion and creams than contain regeneration factors.

    ● ALWAYS avoid laser treatments over the treated area (Fraxel Laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns

    ● Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to faster pigment fading.

  • Immediately after the procedure, your new PMU will look vibrant and bold, with pigment that will fade 30-60% lighter as they heal. You may experience some redness/swelling but this is temporary and will subside.

True results are not revealed until week 6-10 of the healing process. Please be mindful that all skin heals differently and results vary through each individual.

    Typical Healing Process

Day 1: Right after the procedure, expect bold and vibrant brows with possible redness or slight swelling, which will subside soon.

Day 2-4: Brows may look even darker as the pigment sets.

Day 5-7: Expect dryness or itchiness as scabbing forms.

Day 7-14: Brows may appear patchy or uneven as they continue to heal.

Day 14-21: Pigment might seem faint, but it will start to resurface.

Day 28-42: The color and shape settle fully, and a touch-up at 6-10 weeks perfects the results.

This is all absolutely normal, and why two appointments may be necessary. Be patient and know that this is the part of the normal and expected healing process.

Just relax and be patient. It's a process!

Day 1 (Right after the procedure): Lips appear bold and brighter than what it will heal to. It will heal between 30-60% lighter and softer. Lips will be slightly swollen and tender. Color will darken (oxidize) as the day goes on.

Day 2: Lips are darker and may still be a little swollen. Lips are feeling tight and dry.

Days 3-4: Skin is flaking and scabbing and the color is fading.

Days 5-6: Lips start to feel normal and the flaking is gone.

Day 7: Lips have completely healed but the color is much lighter than after the procedure.
